The core objective is to defeat your opponent by pinning them for a three-count, making them submit, or winning by disqualification or count-out. Moment-to-moment play involves striking with weak and strong attacks, grappling to initiate moves, and using a momentum-based special meter to perform signature and finishing moves. A useful beginner strategy is to focus on building your special meter by successfully landing attacks and taunting, as this allows you to turn the tide of a match with a powerful move. The challenge rhythm involves managing your wrestler's health and stamina while looking for openings to execute combos and reversals. In the early moments of a match, focus on wearing down your opponent with basic strikes and grapples. During the middle phase, use your built-up momentum for powerful slams and submission holds. In tense moments when both wrestlers are weakened, successfully reversing an opponent's finisher and hitting your own can secure a dramatic victory.
