The core objective is to defeat your opponent in one-on-one combat across three different fighting planes. You control your character with a joystick and four buttons for punches and kicks of varying strength. A key mechanic is the ability to sidestep between the foreground and background planes to evade attacks and create openings. Each character has a unique set of special moves, performed with specific joystick and button combinations, and can build up a power gauge to unleash powerful Desperation Moves. In the early moments of a match, focus on understanding your character's basic attacks and movement. As you progress, learn to effectively use the plane-shift to control space and punish your opponent's mistakes. During tense moments, managing your power gauge for a well-timed super move can turn the tide of battle.
