Metal Slug - 2nd Mission is a side-scrolling run-and-gun game where your primary goal is to advance through each stage, defeating enemy soldiers and rescuing POWs to earn power-ups and extra lives. You control a soldier armed with a standard pistol, but can collect a variety of powerful weapons like Heavy Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers, and Shotguns by touching weapon icons or rescued prisoners. Jump and shoot your way through enemy-filled environments, and be sure to hop into the iconic Metal Slug tank whenever it appears for increased firepower and protection.
