Players begin their journey by selecting one of four protagonists—the Warrior, Thief, Archer, or Magician—each featuring a unique combat style and an individual storyline that eventually converges. The core objective is to explore the side-scrolling world of Maple World, completing quests and defeating monsters to gain experience and level up. You will use a combination of basic melee or ranged attacks and powerful special skills assigned to the face buttons. Movement involves precise platforming, using jumps and dashes to navigate treacherous terrain and avoid enemy contact. As you progress, you must manage your inventory, using potions to restore health and mana during combat. Success in boss battles requires observing enemy telegraphs and timing your dodges effectively. In the early game, focus on mastering your character's basic combos and clearing smaller groups of enemies to accumulate gold for gear upgrades. During the more difficult middle and late-game stages, focus on chaining special abilities and managing skill cooldowns to handle large waves of enemies and complex boss mechanics. Upgrading your skill tree is essential to unlocking the true potential of your chosen class.
