Final Fantasy IV is a role-playing game where you guide a party of characters through a story-driven adventure. Your primary objective is to explore the world, engage in turn-based combat, and progress through the narrative by completing quests and defeating bosses. In combat, you select commands from a menu for each character, such as Attack, Magic, or Item, and the order of turns is determined by an Active Time Battle system that requires strategic timing. As you explore towns and dungeons, you'll talk to NPCs for clues, solve environmental puzzles, and manage your party's equipment and abilities. Early on, focus on balancing your party's roles—Cecil as a frontline fighter, Rosa as a healer, and others providing support or magic damage. In the middle game, pay attention to elemental weaknesses and status effects during battles, and ensure you regularly save your progress. During tense boss fights, prioritize healing and buffs while exploiting the enemy's vulnerabilities to turn the tide in your favor.
