Fatal Fury 2 is a one-on-one fighting game where players select a character and battle opponents in best-of-three matches. The core objective is to deplete your opponent's health bar before they defeat you. The game introduced the two-line battle system, allowing fighters to switch between foreground and background planes to dodge attacks and create strategic openings. Each character has unique special moves performed with directional inputs combined with button presses.
