The core objective is to defeat your opponent by pinning them for a three-count or making them submit. Each wrestler has a health bar and a spirit gauge; depleting their health makes them vulnerable to pins and submissions, while building your spirit gauge allows you to perform powerful special moves. Moment-to-moment play involves striking with punches and kicks, grappling to initiate holds or throws, and using the rope rebound for momentum. A useful beginner strategy is to focus on building your spirit gauge early by successfully landing attacks, then unleashing a special move when your opponent's health is low. The challenge rhythm involves managing your position in the ring, reversing opponent attacks with well-timed button presses, and capitalizing on openings. In tense moments, such as when both wrestlers have low health, focus on defensive reversals and landing a single decisive special move to secure the win.
