Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls is a one-on-one fighting game. Your objective is to defeat a series of opponents in combat to progress through the tournament and ultimately face the final boss. You control your character from a side view and use a combination of basic attacks, special moves, and throws to deplete your opponent's life bar before they deplete yours. Each character has a unique set of moves, typically executed with directional inputs combined with attack buttons. As a beginner, focus on learning a few simple combos and your character's most effective special moves. Blocking is essential for defense. The challenge increases as you face faster and more aggressive opponents who can counter your strategies. In tense moments, especially during a close match, patience is key; wait for an opening to punish your opponent's mistakes rather than attacking recklessly.
