You can use Yoshi's signature flutter jump to reach higher platforms and his tongue to eat enemies, which turn into eggs that can be thrown to hit other enemies or collectibles. The game features branching paths and encourages exploration to find the most fruit and uncover secrets. A key strategy is to maintain a high mood meter by eating fruit continuously, which allows Yoshi to perform better and access hidden areas.
