Your goal is to clear each single-screen stage by defeating all enemies and finding the exit door, which appears once all foes are eliminated. You control Bomberman from a top-down perspective, moving through a maze-like grid. The core action involves placing bombs, which explode after a short timer in a cross-shaped pattern, destroying soft blocks and defeating any enemies caught in the blast. You must avoid the explosion yourself, as it is fatal.
