The core objective is to survive the Christmas Eve outbreak by solving puzzles, managing resources, and defeating bosses. Combat occurs on a field where you can move freely to dodge attacks, while a targeting reticle charges to allow you to aim and shoot. Use the ATB gauge to time your attacks and spells, known as Parasite Energy, which can heal, buff, or damage enemies. A key beginner strategy is to frequently save your game, upgrade your weapons at designated terminals, and conserve healing items for boss fights.
